Day 15

Today, I woke up and ate my spread having bought a Skippy peanut butter for 16RMB last Sunday. Me and my roommate ate about four slices each. After eating, we left our hostel for class. We wore only two layers, a t-shirt and a jacket. The weather is getting hotter day by day. After our first lesson for the day, we went for a lunch break. This time, I tried out a store near the girl’s hostel. The store is basically a roadside store. I ordered their peanut fried rice, it taste so delicious. I felt home when I ate the fried rice as it tasted exactly like those I ate in Singapore food court. We walked back to our classroom once we finished our food. On the way, I was tempted when I saw the shops selling Magnum ice-cream and I bought one for myself. I have never treated myself so well in terms of food for so long. Back in Singapore, I followed a strict self imposed diet. However, in China, I ate a lot. The afternoon lesson was short and quick, we were back in my room by mid-afternoon. Everyone then started to revise for the quiz the next day. When it was evening, we went to the Si-chuan restaurant to have our dinner. We ordered a seven course meal. It cost us 10RMB each.
