Day 18

We woke up very early at 7am and rushed to the bus pick-up point. We boarded the bus and began a four hour journey to Hubei. Feeling tired and lethargic, I slept throughout the journey. Halfway through, the bus stopped at a resting point and we went to have a toilet-break. Shortly, we were brought to a restaurant and served with six-course meal. As there was a mahjong table beside us, some went to play mahjong after eating. The rest of us played truth or dare. I was very unlucky and was made to do a forfeit. All of them asked Wilfred and I to perform a dancing act. To be sporting, I just played along. We continued travelling for another three hours. We were then brought to a restaurant again at 5pm to have our dinner. Everyone felt too stuffed to eat as we just had our lunch not too long ago. After that, we were to the jetty to board the cruise. However, the local officials were blocking the route to the jetty as there were some disputes regarding about money issues. So we were sort of stranded for three long hours. It was very draining for us as we had already travelled for a whole day. We finally boarded the cruise at 9pm. As soon as we got the keys to our cabin, we slacked awhile and slept soon after without even bathing as there is no hot water as the cruise is stationary.
